Why We Are Saving The Honey Bee...

The honey bee, Apis mellifera, has been in decline over the past few years due to Colony Collapse Disorder, diseases, parasitic mites and other stressors. US Beekeepers lost 36 percent of their hives between 2007 and 2008.

Honey Bees are our most beneficial insect. We must do all we can to protect bee colonies, which contribute as pollinators for many of our fruits and vegetables. The annual contribution of honey bees to food production in the United States is estimated to be $10 billion.

Honey bees are primary pollinators of almonds, apples, blackberries, blueberries, cantaloupes, cranberries, cucumbers, forage crops, kiwi fruit, squash and watermelons.

We should do everything possible individually and as a nation to save honey bee colonies that become a problem in structural walls. 80% of fruits and vegetables that require pollination may not make it to market if we don't do all we can do to save them.

About Us

We are beekeepers that have a passion for saving the honey bee and helping you take care of the problems that are associated with honeybee swarming. We remove honeybees from almost all of South Carolina, Georgia and North Carolina.

We have experience with all types of honey bee removals. We will carefully take the bees from your property and hive them in our bee yards where they can continue to live and reproduce. Honey Bee Removal is good for our environment.

Please do not attempt to remove or kill the honeybees that may be resident on your property. It is important to leave this job to a professional removal service due to the danger of stings or possible allergic reactions.

The honeybee is an extraordinarily important part of our agricultural world. The honeybee is directly responsible for many fruits and vegetables that we eat everyday. The honeybee is already endangered by many diseases and pests. The most recent is known as Colony Collapse Disorder or CCD. Please assist us in helping honeybees live.

We do charge for removal but the fee is based on the complexity of the job. Removal fees range from $100 for basic removal to $500 and up for more complex removals. Swarms that light on branches or that are easily accessible are removed for $25 to $100 depending on the height and location in SC. Fee structure will vary for swarms located in SC, NC or GA.

Most "swarm ball" removals that are located locally in Columbia, West Columbia, Lexington, Blythewood or Lugoff Elgin SC are removed for free. The distance from the ground cannot exceed 15 feet for the service to be performed for free. Of course donations are accepted but not required. We especially appreciate donations with the cost of gas being as high as it is.
